Community Supported Agriculture

Thank you for your interest in Prairie Bottom Farm's Community Supported Agriculture program.

Prairie Bottom will be offering 40 shares for our 2011 growing year. When a person purchases a share in the C.S.A. program they enter into an agreement with the farmer (see our 2011 C.S.A. agreement form), in which the share holder provides funding to the farm up front, or through installments, and the farmer provides produce (See our seasonal projection sheet). Selections of produce, harvested at their healthiest and ripest moments are picked weekly for your convenience and enjoyment. Members of the C.S.A. will be able to harvest certain items directly from the farm as well as participate in harvests and plantings. Members will also be able to participate in many of the activities on the farm.

By offering 40 shares this year, Prairie Bottom Farm is expanding its current operations to provide the community with more affordable, locally-grown, and hand-crafted produce that is free from pesticides, herbicides, and, well, anything "cide." We look to the land as stewards who seek a relationship in which a balance is achieved between the consumer and the producer. Here at Prairie Bottom we are also increasing our operation in the hopes that we can move towards greater self-sufficiency.

Interest is extremely high within the Whidbey community. We can honor the first 40 customers who complete the registration process and submit their payment before March first.
